AION 2 — February 25, 2026 Update Notes

Major update: Submerged Life Temple Transcendence stages 1-4, new Arcana sets (Frenzy & Pure Blood), Marchutan Devanion Board, Daily Dungeon Instant Clear Tickets, Abyss ranking & equipment buffs, class balance changes, 100-day anniversary events.

Transcendence

• Submerged Life Temple stages 1-4 are now unlocked
• New season missions related to Submerged Life Temple added under [Season – Season Missions – Transcendence]

Arcana

New Arcana Sets

Set	2-Piece Bonus	4-Piece Bonus
Frenzy	PVE Attack +50	Boss Damage Amp +5%; below 70% HP → Boss Damage Resist +10%
Pure Blood	PVE Defense +500	Crit Damage Amp +5%; below 70% HP → Defense +1000

• Frenzy & Pure Blood sets are crafted via Synthesis using Mysterious Crystal (Bound)

New Arcana Part: Libra

• New part Libra available in Rare, Epic, and Unique grades
• Crafted via Synthesis using Harmonious Crystal (Bound)
• Harmonious Crystal (Bound) obtained from Submerged Life Temple → Substance Morph from Mysterious Crystal Fragment (Bound)

Arcana QoL Improvements

• Synthesis cooldown removed
• Quick Equip: can now select Arcana type alongside main effect
• Quick Equip: works even without setting main/sub effects — auto-selects highest item level

New Devanion Board: Marchutan

• New Devanion Board Marchutan added
• Marchutan Devanion Points obtained from Submerged Life Temple → Substance Morph from Fragment: Marchutan's Trace

Identity Verification

Additional identity verification procedures introduced to combat macros and bot farming. Accounts that have not completed verification may have gameplay restrictions.

Expedition: Exploration

• Equipment drop rate from Odyle Energy Cubes in level 45+ Exploration dungeons increased to 50% of Conquest rate
• Draupnir Exploration dungeon equipment rewards changed to match Conquest dungeon rewards

Piano Objects

Interactive piano objects added to faction villages — jump on keys to play notes!

Soul Tuning

Improvement: When Soul Tuning, the stat and skill currently assigned to the selected slot will be excluded from tuning results, preventing re-rolls of the same effect.

Soul Bond

Item detail window now shows the required materials for Soul Bond.

Daily Dungeon Instant Clear Tickets

• New feature: After clearing a daily dungeon, use Instant Clear Tickets to receive additional clear rewards without re-running
• Requires Instant Clear Ticket: Daily Dungeon (Bound) + dungeon entry count
• Available at [Shop – Breeze Merchant – Special] for 30,000 Kina, up to 14 per week per server
• After clearing, a popup with "Instant Clear" button appears
• Set the number of additional clears (max 36) and receive rewards instantly

Daily Dungeon: Odium Storage

Start waiting time reduced for Odium Storage daily dungeon.

Equipment: Dedication Rune

PVP Accuracy stat added to Dedication Rune:

PVP Ranking Point Loss Reduced

• Ranking points lost on PVP death significantly reduced
• Consecutive daily deaths: loss reduction ratio increased and minimum loss amount greatly lowered

Other Abyss Changes

• Crafting NPCs removed from Ereshuranta Lower and Middle layer strongholds
• Maximum player capacity in Ereshuranta Lower and Middle layers reduced for stability
• Artifact control and Abyss Corridor reset due to server re-matching
• World map icons added for stronghold Abyss Corridors
• Boss kill rewards even while dead: players within 100m who contributed can now receive rewards based on contribution

Abyss Equipment

Abyss equipment set bonuses increased:

Skill Slots

• Context System applied to Stigma skill slots

Season Ranking Rewards

• Pantheon Decorations added as Season 2 ranking rewards
• Obtainable based on Nightmare / Abyss / Transcendence class rankings
• Season 2 Pantheon Decoration effects last until the end of Season 3

Substance Morph

• Equipment Change Ticket morph: tradeable equipment can now also be used as material
• Stigma Shard morph cost greatly reduced:

• New morph recipes: convert higher-tier Odyle/gathering materials to lower-tier

Sanctuary

Shugo Premium Membership or Changarung Membership subscribers can now inject Odyle Energy 2 times when opening reward cubes.

Customization

• +1 new preset for male/female characters
• +1 new face shape for male/female characters
• +2 new hair styles for male/female characters
• +1 new eyebrow style for male characters

• Transcendence dungeon ranking: clear time no longer shown in best records
• Transcendence dungeon list: difficulty rating (star icons) now displayed
• Ranking screen: refresh timer icon shown during update delays
• Abyss world map: Watcher Kaira now shown in field named boss list
• World/mini map: opposing faction's Divine Traces no longer displayed
• Supply mission item slots no longer stretch vertically
• Already registered Pantheon Decorations now show "unavailable" on item icons
• Promotion quest "Shining Ruby" name now visible in gathering progress UI
• Item hyperlinks now correctly show Breakthrough and Soul Bond stats

• Sanctuary "Abyssal Reforging" — boss "Abyssal Wing Ketu" no longer becomes unattackable when entering Groggy during skill cast

Nightmare

• Dream Layer II — boss Kaisinel's Phantom: damage reduced
• Dream Layer II — Kaisinel's Phantom: skill preview and actual AoE range now match
• Enraged Reda: damage zones can no longer be attacked
• Gatekeeper Pinopi: Shock Release now usable after grab skill knockdown

• Inheritance Kina cost refund: Full retroactive refund of Kina spent on Inheritance before the cost was changed to 0
• AOS review delay compensation: Membership users as of Feb 11 maintenance receive +2 days membership extension
• Hero equipment enhancement cost refund: Retroactive refund based on reduced enhancement rates/costs from Feb 11 update
• Dying Dramata's Nest difficulty reduction compensation: 50% of consumed tickets and Odyle Energy refunded (rounded up) for Jan 21 — Jan 24, 2026 period. Items expire Mar 25, 2026
